MMA ODDS AND ENDS FOR TUESDAY: VALÉRIE LÉTOURNEAU OFFICIALLY SIGNS WITH BELLATOR, TOM BREESE INJURED
The news was broken by ariel Helwani afterward confirmed on Monday that UFC title challenger Val??rie L??tourneau has signed with Bellator MMA. L??tourneau (8-6) heads into her promotional introduction off three consecutive losses, suffering reverses to Joanna J??drzejczyk, Joanne Calderwood and most recently Viviane Pereira this past December in UFC 206. After her skid, the Top Team merchandise was released from the UFC.
The 33-year-old L??tourneau will fit in nicely into Bellator flyweight division and has had difficulty in the past making the strawweight limit in the UFC. She tried out for Season 18 of The Ultimate Fighter but was removed after losing to Roxanne Modafferi by first-round submission.
Where she took home a split-decision success over Elizabeth Phillips at June 2014 l??tourneau was given a second opportunity on notice. She followed that up with wins over Jessica Rakoczy and Maryna Moroz that brought her a title shot against J??drzejczyk in UFC 193. UFC middleweight Tom Breese announces torn ACL, UFC return unidentified UFC middleweight Tom Breese announced on his Instagram Monday that he’s torn his ACL, and there’s absolutely no timetable for his return. Breese (10-1) was pulled in the last minute from a scheduled bout with Oluwale Bamgbose in UFC Fight Night 107 back in March due to an irregularity along with his heart rate. The 25-year-old suffered the blow off of his career enduring a reduction.
